With over 1000 laser eye treatments to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism, Bader Khayat is an experienced ophthalmologist who specializes in refractive surgery. He also performs over 800 lens treatments annually to correct presbyopia, cataracts and other severe ametropia.

Bader Khayat is a specialist in corneal surgery and, as such, performs corneal transplants in combination with lens treatments. Mr. Khayat also works with the most modern corneal transplantation techniques such as Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty or Bowmann layer transplantation.

From 1999 to 2007, Mr. Khayat completed his studies in human medicine at the KAU University in Saudi Arabia. In 2010 he worked at the Ludwig Maximilians University Hospital in Munich. After obtaining the specialist title for ophthalmology there in 2016, he worked as a senior physician specializing in corneal surgery and refractive surgery. His fields of activity also included the treatment of macular degenerations as well as glaucoma, lens, strabismus, corneal, vitreous, cataract and retinal surgery.

Bader Khayat devoted himself specifically to the field of refractive laser surgery in 2015 during a stay abroad in London at the Moorfields Eye Hospital. He also gained experience at Columbia University in New York.

He acquired his knowledge of the most modern corneal transplantation techniques in 2018 and 2019 at the Institute for Innovative Ocular Surgery (NIIOS) in the Netherlands.
