Miss Dr. med. Scheler completed her human medical preclinic from 2004 to 2006 at the Hannover Medical School (MHH) after completing a stay abroad with a visit to the high school in Tennessee. From 2006 she graduated from the human medicine clinic at the Carl Gustav Carus University of the Technical University of Dresden (TUD) and passed the second section of the medical examination in 2011.

Between 2006 and 2009 she gained practical experience in a general practice in Kronach, in the eye clinic of the Carl Gustav Carus University in Dresden, in the field of cardiovascular surgery at the University Hospital Zurich (USZ) and in the field of gynecology at the Lucerne Cantonal Hospital in Wolhusen (LUKS).

She completed her practical year at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Ophthalmology at the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden, at the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden in the field of internal medicine and at the University of the West Indies, Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown, Barbados and at the Deaconess Hospital Dresden in the field of surgery.

In 2012 she began her Residency in the eye clinic of the Elblandklinikum Radebeul and worked as a doctor in the Asklepiosklinik Barmbek in Hamburg from 2013 to 2019. In 2016 she passed her FEBO exam (Fellow of European Board of Ophthalmology) in Paris. The specialist examination followed in 2017. Since 2020 she has been a specialist in the BAG Dr. Neuhaus-Richard and Dr. McCrae in Hamburg and as a specialist at Care Vision Hamburg.
