Career

Mr. Toam Katz M.D. graduated in Specialist Medicine at Hadassa University Clinic in Jerusalem. He specialized in the field of ophthalmology and refractive surgery at the Shaare Zedek University Hospital in Jerusalem e.g. Rothschild Institute in Paris. During his training, Mr. Toam Katz occupied himself with corneal, lens, Strabismus-, glaucoma vitreo- retinal surgery.  

He specializes in surgery on the cornea and lens implantation in patients suffering from cataracts, keratoconus or refractive errors. He has many years of experience in the field of refractive procedures and lamellar corneal transplantation, corneal transplantation, corneal cross linking, implantations Intra-corneal rings, refractive lens implantations (Artisan, Artiflex, ICL), multifocal and toric lens implants (reSTOR, ATlisa, M*, Trifocal, “Add –On”) and in a variety of laser techniques such as LASIK, PRK/LASEK, EpiLASEK and the topographic laser.

Mr. Toam Katz has already performed thousands of eye laser surgery and lens implants. He is the medical director of CARE Vision and is responsible for the training, supervision and support of CARE Vision ophthalmologists. He is actively engaged in the quality management.

Since September 2011 he has been employed at the hospital as the senior physician. Mr. Katz leads the Refractive Surgery and Refractive corneal clinic of Ophthalmology.
