Dr. med. Aleksandar Cirkovic

Dr. med. Aleksandar Cirkovic successfully completed his medical studies at the Martin Luther University in Halle an der Saale in 2007. In addition, Dr. Cirkovic studied Medical Informatics at the Beuth University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. He began his Residency in 2008 at the Eye Clinic of the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg as an assistant doctor for ophthalmology. He obtained the European FEBO title in 2013 and the German specialist title in 2014.

He then worked as a specialist in ophthalmology at this eye clinic until 2015. He completed his doctorate on endothelial corneal transplantation (DMEK) with magna cum laude. He then worked independently as a specialist in ophthalmology in medical practices in the Nuremberg area until 2017. In April 2016, he completed his studies in medical informatics with a master’s thesis in the field of artificial intelligence.

Since February 2017 he has been working at the Bayreuth Eye Center. In 2018, Dr. Cirkovic started his freelance work as a specialist in refractive surgery at CARE Vision.
