Career
Dr. Meiller completed his medical studies at the Medical Faculty of the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg.
He spent his internship (1999-2000) at the Niederbipp Bezirksspital (County Hospital) in Switzerland (surgery), at the University Erlangen-Nuremberg (ophthalmology) and at the St. Marien Amberg Hospital (internal medicine).
Between July 2000 and November 2006 Dr. Meiller first worked as a physician in practical training and then as a resident at the Ophthalmology Clinic with Polyclinic of the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg. He obtained his M.D. in 2001 (“magna cum laude”).
Dr. Meiller received his certification in ophthalmology in November 2006. Since then he has been working as a Chief Physician at the Ophthalmology Clinic with Polyclinic of the Erlangen University.
Since May 2007 Dr. Med. Ralph Meiller is a recognized on the Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (European specialist title). The clinical focus of Dr. Meiller is corneal diseases, refractive surgery, medical Retina 8especially age related macular degeneration), laser therapy of the anterior and posterior segment of the eye and ophthalmology.
