Career
Dr. Wagner did his medical studies at the Ruprechts Karl University of Heidelberg and at the University of Göttingen. He received his medical training between 1989 and 1995 at the University Hospital of Göttingen.
Dr. Wagner has had his own practice since 1995. He performs Argon/YAG surgery and several years ago also began performing Excimer laser eye surgeries in addition to performing cataract operations and treating glaucoma patients. About 12,000 patients are treated on an outpatient basis in his practice every year.
Dr. Wagner is an active participant in continuing medical education and training. For example, he regularly takes part in the Congress of German Ophthalmologic Surgeons in Nuremberg and attends the German Academy of Ophthalmology in Düsseldorf. He is a member of the German Ophthalmological Society and the Professional Association of German Ophthalmologists.
Dr. Wagner is certified by the Commission on Refractive Surgery, the Joint Commission of the Professional Association of German Ophthalmologists and the German Ophthalmological Society.
