Specialist for Ophthalmology
Florian Schedler

Florian Schedler studied medicine at the University of Cologne from 2006 to 2012. During his medical studies, he gained international experience through semesters abroad in Lisbon, Athens and Switzerland. He began his medical career in 2013 as a junior doctor in ophthalmology at Karlsruhe Municipal Hospital, followed by a year in trauma surgery and orthopaedics at Weyertal Protestant Hospital, three years of surgical training at an ophthalmology practice in Eitorf, and a further year at Cologne University Hospital. As a specialist, he then worked at CARE Vision from 2021 to 2023, where he performed all standard refractive surgical procedures. He subsequently took up a senior registrar post for three years at the Vidia Clinic for Ophthalmology in Karlsruhe, where he covered the full spectrum of ophthalmology using conservative treatments and performed various surgical procedures on the anterior segment of the eye. Furthermore, he served as the clinic’s medical consultant, responsible for coordinating corneal transplants and the treatment of central serous chorioretinopathy (performing micropulse laser and HD-PDT procedures). Since 2026, he has been working again at CARE Vision’s Stuttgart branch.
