Career

Dr. Inna Georgieva studied medicine at the Medical University of Plovdiv from 1999 to 2005. In September 2005, she passed the state examination with an overall grade of 1.0 and received her license to practice medicine.

From 2006 to 2011, she worked in the eye clinic at Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where she successfully completed her specialist training.

From 2011 to 2018, she practiced as a specialist at the eye clinic of the Städtisches Klinikum in Dessau before joining CARE Vision in 2018. She has been part of our team here ever since. In the course of her career, she obtained her doctorate at the Charité Benjamin Franklin campus in November 2008 with the highest distinction, summa cum laude. Her active scientific work has been honored with several scholarships: Scholarship of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Ernst von Leyden – Research Scholarship of the Berlin Cancer Society, Research Scholarship of the Sonnenfeld Foundation, Research Scholarship- Lydia-Rabinowitsch Scholarship of the Charite, Project-related Research Grant of the DOG for Ophthalmologists.

Her projects have been recognized with several awards, including the DOG research project on “The importance of survivin and Aurora Kinase B expression in the development of uveal melanoma”. To this day, she keeps up to date with the latest medical developments by regularly attending conferences organized by the DOG, DOC, DGII, SOE and BBAG.
