Career
Raquel Socias, a board-certified ophthalmologist, completed her medical studies in Spain at the University of Barcelona. Even during her residency in ophthalmology, she focused on a range of surgical procedures, including cataract, corneal, eyelid, strabismus, glaucoma, vitreous, and retinal surgery.
Furthermore, Socias completed an internship and conducted research at the Interdisciplinary University Center in Heidelberg in 2011 and 2012. She worked in the “Refractive Surgery” department at the Baviera Eye Clinic Group in Valencia (Spain).
Raquel Socias’ areas of expertise include refractive surgery (laser techniques, implantation of intracorneal rings), lens implantation (multifocal lenses, ICL, and toric lenses), laser therapy of the anterior and posterior segments of the eye, and glaucoma treatment. She obtained her medical license and certification as a specialist (diploma) in Baden-Württemberg. Since 2017, she has served as the medical director of the clinic in Frankfurt and also works as a senior trainer for new doctors at CARE Vision.
