Career
Ms. Sigrid Fesser successfully studied pharmacy and medicine at the University of Hamburg. She was also able to gain experience abroad by studying medicine for two years at the University of Antwerp in Flanders. Sigrid Fesser passed her third state examination in pharmacy in November 1985 and her third state examination in medicine five years later in April 1990.
Between 1991 and 1995, Sigrid Fesser worked as an assistant doctor at the Kiel-Bellevue Eye Clinic after completing several internships in various hospitals and clinics. She passed her specialist examination in ophthalmology in Saarbrücken in 1996.
During her specialist training, Sigrid Fesser already gained experience with corneal topography and excimer eye laser treatments. She later attended various courses on contact lens fitting and trained in the application of Botox and fillers in the aesthetic field. Ms. Fesser has a B-diploma in acupuncture.
Sigrid Fesser has been a practicing ophthalmologist in Berlin since January 1997.
