I’ve been wearing glasses since seventh grade. Honestly, my glasses were always more of a problem than a help. I constantly left them somewhere, accidentally sat on them, or only found them again later. Later, I switched to contact lenses. They were more comfortable than glasses—especially for sports—but I never really got along with them completely. On long days, during a lot of screen work, or at the cinema, my eyes would often get dry. And after a while, even driving became uncomfortable with lenses.

My Everyday Life as a Content Creator

I’ve been working in social media for many years. At first, I created content for others; for about a year now, I’ve been active as an influencer myself. This means I spend a lot of time at the computer or on the road. My vision aids were often simply impractical. Whether playing football, going to the gym, swimming, or dealing with bad weather, I always felt that my glasses or contact lenses were limiting me. On top of that, my glasses were no longer giving me full vision because I hadn’t had an eye test for a long time.

The Push from My Best Friend

There wasn’t a single standout moment that was the best—it’s more about the overall feeling. I especially remember the first time I drove at night without glasses or contact lenses. It felt unbelievable. And waking up in the morning and being able to see clearly immediately, without reaching for glasses or lenses, is a completely new life experience. Whether at the computer, driving, at the cinema, in the gym, or swimming—I notice every day how much easier everything has become.

A Decision That Changed My Life

For me, the treatment was clearly the best decision I made this year—possibly one of the biggest decisions that has influenced my life. Only after the treatment did I realize how much quality of life I had been missing before. Financially, it’s worth it in the long term: No more contact lenses, no care products, no new glasses or backup glasses.

My Advice to Anyone Considering It

I would do the treatment again without hesitation. I’ve even recommended it to others, like my sister. If someone is thinking about laser eye treatment, I always say: schedule a consultation and get informed. If you’ve been thinking about it for a while, my advice is simple: go for it. For me, it was absolutely worth it.
